Historically, Consumers Energy produced a year-in-review video and/or printed collateral to celebrate and thank employees for their outstanding work. The Creative Services & Video Production team convinced management to try a new strategic approach to reach more people and boost the company's image. The video starts with a radio message from a fictional DJ forecasting a storm and reassuring customers Consumers Energy is already preparing to deal with the storm, providing reliable service and, if necessary, restoring power as quickly as possible. Upon hearing this message, an animated work glove springs to life to spread the message. Additional tools then join in the excitement to serve our customers and communities. We meticulously moved more than 100 individual objects to precise locations while clicking more than 1,000 photos to assemble 30 seconds of stop motion footage.
