Homeland & Awakening is an online immersive spatial art exhibition inspired by the natural landscapes of Australia and Canada. Snowfields, open plains, crystal light, and mountain silhouettes form the emotional foundation of the project, reinterpreted through digital craft into a poetic, walkable virtual environment. By transforming real geographic elements into symbolic spatial metaphors, the work bridges physical reality and an imagined watercolor world.
Designed as a serene sanctuary at the foot of a symbolic snow mountain, the experience invites visitors to wander through handcrafted 3D environments created with Unity and Maya—crystal-flower gardens, sacred fire altars, quiet plains, and a central homeland field. Each space carries a distinct emotional atmosphere, allowing audiences to encounter art not as static visuals, but as spatial and contemplative experiences.
The aesthetic language draws from watercolor softness, natural gradients, and the emotional resonance of both countries’ landscapes—Australia’s vast horizons and Canada’s luminous winters—blending them into a unified, dreamlike digital realm.
Rather than replicating a physical gallery, Homeland & Awakening constructs a reflective, inhabitable art space where visitors feel grounded, protected, and gently uplifted. The project reimagines digital exhibition as a cross-cultural encounter that merges art, technology, and emotional storytelling.
This work represents the first chapter of a larger world-building initiative, exploring how nature, culture, and inner awakening can coexist within an evolving immersive digital ecosystem.
