About The Entry

Overdoses happen in families and neighborhoods every day. Naloxone is a life-saving medication that can help when used in the event of an opioid overdose.
The Maryland State Ad Agency (MSAA) designed and executed an advertising campaign for the Maryland Department of Health (MDH) to raise awareness about Naloxone, also known as Narcan stressing the importance of what it is, where to get it, remembering to carry it, and how to use it. Due to specific messaging needs, a live action approach was taken in order to utilize “every day” citizens of varying demographics and convey complex information surrounding Naloxone.
MSAA is always proud to participate in life saving messaging that helps reduce the number of overdoses throughout our state and reaches the citizens that need this messaging the most. The multi-faceted approach for this campaign included targeting general audiences through placements on broadcast TV, cable TV, public TV, OTT, audio streaming, broadcast radio, digital, print and geo-targeted mobile media.
