As the opioid crisis in Maryland remains a prevalent issue throughout the state, action is needed year over year to help bend the curve. For the sixth year in a row, The Maryland State Ad Agency ( MSAA) partnered with the Maryland Department of Health ( MDH) to craft an awareness campaign that reaches individuals struggling with addiction or individuals who run the risk of an overdose because they are not familiar with the consequences of buying off the street.
Due to the sensitive nature of the topic, MSAA is always faced with the creative challenge to create messaging that resonates with the audience without using triggering language or imagery that could pose influential to individuals in active recovery.
MSAA is proud to continue this partnership with MDH to help reach the citizens of the state and help reduce the number of opioid related deaths each year. We are able to do so by building media plans to target general audiences around the state, including underserved populations, on platforms including but not limited to broadcast TV, cable TV, public TV, OTT, audio streaming, broadcast radio, digital, print and geo-targeted mobile media.
