More than half of asthma patients believe their condition isn’t taken seriously by their doctors. But if doctors could see how terrifying and debilitating an asthma attack can be, they’d treat their patients differently.
Asthma Transplant used actors, AI-driven face mapping and voice modelling to clone prominent asthma doctors, and simulate what their severe asthma flare-up would look like, based on real patient stories.
The doctors were invited to a special installation where they met their clone, and witnessed themselves going through the terrifying ordeal of having an asthma attack.
By putting a familiar face on the condition, Asthma Transplant created deeply personal experience that engaged the empathy of the doctors, and inspired them see the true value of effective treatment.
