About The Entry

Scrap is designed not merely as a productivity tool, but as a specialized digital intervention for neurodiversity, specifically addressing the executive dysfunction and emotional dysregulation associated with ADHD. Traditional linear task managers often exacerbate anxiety and "task paralysis" for neurodivergent minds by imposing rigid structures that do not align with their cognitive patterns. Scrap bridges this gap by redefining task management through the lens of cognitive accessibility and emotional support, fundamentally shifting the interaction from demand-based to support-based.
To combat common challenges such as "Time Blindness," Scrap utilizes specific AI algorithms to transform abstract, text-based tasks into dynamic visual stickers. This gamified visualization significantly reduces the cognitive load required to initiate tasks, turning the concept of "work" into an engaging, low-pressure interaction. Crucially, the system is built on an adaptive architecture that recognizes ADHD performance fluctuates. By introducing a non-intrusive, energy-adaptive interface, the system intelligently adjusts task suggestions based on the user's real-time emotional state and energy levels. This prevents the "shame spiral" often caused by uncompleted to-do lists in standard apps.
Ultimately, Scrap fills a critical void in the market by treating productivity as an emotional journey rather than a mechanical process. By harmonizing functional utility with empathetic design and immediate positive feedback loops, Scrap empowers users to reclaim control over their lives, proving that inclusivity in design can fundamentally change behavioral outcomes for neurodivergent user groups.
