The high-end video centers on “tracing the origins of Chinese civilization.” Through a deep exploration of the aesthetics of Chinese vessels, it redefines the artistic standard of China’s premium baijiu. Rather than relying on convenient post-production, the video revives Chinese heritage in the classic way. Drawing on the totem and materials of the treasure Moutai bottle, it visually connects traditional Chinese craftsmanship of bronzeware in the Shang and Zhou Dynasties, of porcelain of the Tang and Song Dynasties, and of traditional Chinese brewing. The narrative unfolds in three stages: form, spirit, and taste. By first presenting the form, then revealing its cultural spirit, and finally returning to the taste of the liquor, the video positions the product not only as a drink, but as a cultural masterpiece that embodies the essence of Chinese civilization, aligning with the refined aesthetics and identity of social elites.
In terms of production, the video enhances visual depth through what it calls an “archaeological-style art recreation.” To capture the totemic power of the taotie motif on the bottle cap, the team cast a large bronze ritual vessel as a physical prop, serving as the visual centerpiece that embodies centuries of craftsmanship. To show the layered beauty of the bottle’s dual-tone glaze, the design team did not rely on post-production color grading. Instead, a traditional kiln was built on set, guided by a master artisan from China’s Porcelain Capital Jingdezhen. Real fire and clay were filmed in action, vividly conveying the dynamic beauty of kiln-fired porcelain and the depth of Chinese ceramic artistry.
This video presents a dialogue across time. By bringing bronzeware, porcelain, and baijiu into a shared visual narrative, it reinterprets the meaning of “treasure” layer by layer. The rigorous recreation of ancient artifacts and the footage of the firing process reveal an uncompromising commitment to refined craftsmanship and aesthetics. Through powerful, reality-based visual storytelling, it not only strengthens the brand vision of delivering “a treasure brew that carries abundant blessings,” but also offers a tribute to the enduring symbols of Eastern civilization on the global stage.
