You're Next

You're Next is a typographic poster series created for the 2013 horror film directed by Adam Wingard. The project explores how typography alone can carry the psychological weight of a horror narrative without relying on imagery or illustration.
The design system is built on tension. High contrast between type and background, deliberate negative space, and a restrained color palette of deep crimson and black force the viewer to sit with the discomfort the film intends to create. Every typographic decision, from weight to tracking to hierarchy, was made in service of that feeling.
The challenge was communicating genre, tone, and narrative across a series of posters using only letterforms. The result is a series where the typography does not describe the horror. It embodies it.
