‘Between the Broken Pieces: the untold stories of depression in Kuching’, is an exhibition that showcases letters written by people who are going through the journey with depression.
This exhibition serves as a platform for depression sufferers to break their silence and tell their story, and it also allows the public to grasp the gravity of the problem through storytelling.
Each letter chronicles the story of the writer’s life with depression, many of whom have kept their stories to themselves for fear of being shamed and shunned.
In 2019, the letters were collected in Kuching and in Singapore, and the exhibition took place concurrently in both cities.
