The theme for the Pingtung film festival is “the Sense of Pingtung.” The taste and perspective for film is subjective. The production team continued to explore the question “What is the sense of Pingtung?” It could be emotional connection with varying degrees related to the land, family, or personal memory and story. Through the presentation of the lenses, the stories could be recorded, transformed, reconstructed, passed down, and connect with the audience that watches; this way, the beauty of Pingtung could be spread out to people in a form that is more thorough, rich, and complete. The design philosophy is the body traveler combined with the concept of a camera, meaning “I think therefore I photograph.” The event is hoping the participants have the experimenting and creative spirit of “What You See is What You Take,” and record the grace and beauty of Pingtung with the magical power of light and shadow. We will create and enjoy film altogether as it brings us emotions.
