For more than 10 years Sportsnet and SCAinteractive have been offering Canadians a unique fan experience designed to engage audiences, and create a sponsorable, revenue generating property. The 2020 Fantasy Hockey Pool, which was sponsored by RAM in 2020, takes this to another level by integrating innovative features as well as sponsored broadcast spots hosted by rock-star broadcasters like Ron MacLean - all powered by data created from within the program.

To participate, hockey fans across Canada return to the program site weekly to create a roster of players from that week's games. As part of the team selection process, interstitial pop-up ads as well as site branding reinforce RAM's brand and message. Before submitting their weekly roasters, participants are challenged to pick their 3 RAM Picks. These picks are selected by clicking the RAM Logo next to their name, and each point the player earns during the week is worth double. One of the most important aspects of the program is that it's targeted to a broad audience. The game is designed and developed to appeal to a broad cross-section of Canadians, from casual fans to hardcore fanatics. This helps RAM and Sportsnet maximize exposure and data collection.

During the program registration process, marketing data points and opt-ins were collected for RAM, giving them insights into their audience and the ability to initiate an ongoing dialog beyond the program. Of course contest prizing was another opportunity for RAM to promote their industry leading trucks both on-air and online. Their brand was front and center on all promotional content, exciting audiences with the prospect of winning one of their products.

Yet again, the Sportsnet Fantasy Hockey Pool was a massive success, delivering demonstrable ROI for RAM, increasing audience engagement and metrics for Sportsnet, and providing a unique and engaging hockey-themed experience for Canadians.
