“Less is more”, philosophy from a renowned architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, is also the design philosophy of our new logo, which manifests impressive recognition by the main building of The Overall Brand Image of South Lake Revolutionary Memorial as its main image. Designers portray the central building and its two wings by lines to represent a symmetrical structure and add 3D effects to building images on the logo. The original form and color of the Party emblem are preserved to express that The Overall Brand Image of South Lake Revolutionary Memorial never forgets its original ambition and mission. For color selection, there is no doubt that “Chinese Red” is the best and also the only worthy color. Red is the color of the Party and national flag, symbolizing revolution and hope, as well as the totem color of Red Boat Spirit. “Chinese Red” endows the logo with the symbolic meaning of inheritance and further strengthens the political meaning of solemnity of The Overall Brand Image of South Lake Revolutionary Memorial. The logo font can be traced back to 1985, the year when Deng Xiaoping wrote down the name of the memorial hall, thus conveying its educational mission of the Party history.
