The MRN Agency helped to conceptualize and execute a first of its kind autonomous store for their client, UST Global, on behalf of the Schwarz Group (Aldi, Lidl), at the Bildungcampus in Heilbronn, Germany. This frictionless retail experience enables customers to enter a store with their ID, take any items they desire, and walk out without having to check out at a register. The store features an aesthetic design geared toward young Millennials and Gen Z, and a technical design meant to inspire the engineering students who frequent it.
MRN supported UST in concept, design, technical design, and installation.
As the first autonomous store in Germany, MRN utilized it’s collective knowledge of design, build technique, technical expertise, and experiential retail to bring this 21st century shopping experience to life.MRN is the Agency of Record for UST Global for all of their global autonomous store builds. In 2021-2022, MRN will partner with UST in the United States, France, UAE, Spain, and Germany.
