For the last years, Slovakia has been breaking records in cases of Encephalitis and Lyme borreliosis. Public Health authority regularly calls for prevention in the forms of using repellants, wearing long clothes and vaccinations.

Ticks like to hide and attack on the head. As a local barbershop, we launched HealthCut. A special hair cut as a new type of prevention. With shortened hair, people can spot ticks much sooner, remove it quicker and prevent diseases.

During autumn, tourists are most at risk of being attacked by ticks. That’s why we came to the forest and opened the first pop-up barbershop directly next to the hiking trail, so tourist could try our HealthCut.

We also teamed up with some popular hiking Facebook Groups, invited tourists on a hike and spread awareness about the importance of short haircut when going on a hike.
