Stellaris: Nemesis - Launch Trailer

Paradox asked us to create an intriguing release trailer for the latest expansion for Stellaris, focused around espionage and politics: Nemesis.
To create this piece from concept to completion, we wrote a concept that took the identifiable style we had created for the Stellaris brand of trailers as a whole over the years (the technique of creating various news reports from around the galaxy to tell a large and complex story throughout the trailer) and progressed it even further, focusing on the concerns of espionage, as well as the ability to take over the galaxy politically after being granted great powers to deal with a crisis event.
We wrote all the reports, storylines, and more to mimic what a player may go through over the course of a game. We then handled the recording and capture of all VO. We followed this up by creating motion graphics and animations to represent the potential technology of this particular era, and filled it with information and visuals to represent the overall storyline.
Combined with all original cinematic gameplay capture, UI hud VFX, audio passes, and more, we released the trailer to various notes of acclaim for the immersive nature of our approach.
