Cybersecurity is cool, especially when it keeps operations running, or as Opscura likes to say, Viva Operations!
Born in Spain in 2011, the company formerly called Enigmedia rebranded to Opscura as it diversified globally in 2022, on a mission to connect and protect operations like renewable energy plants, water facilities and more.
The journey to the new brand creation was as complex as an industrial network, but the result is a super hero O brand vibe that critical infrastructure customers, partners and fans alike want to engage with.
The new brand works visually on rational and emotional dimensions to imply to engineers how the encryption process obfuscates, or cloaks, industrial devices from hackers seeking footholds into their networks. Green, which in operations indicates “up and running,” provides visual differentiation from market players. A super-hero-like green door on the O captures the powerful transformation of industrial network data as it flows through the company’s ciphers, and the font uses thick-to-thin weighting to further represent the pass-through effect.
The collaborative Thought Marketing and Anzu teams also re-named Opscura products to fit the new brand, devised clarifying messaging, and built a new web site and Miami launch event.
