Each year, IHOP hosts the Global Franchisee Conference (GFC) where all franchisees and corporate employees gather to discuss new consumer insights, advances in operations and technology, marketing strategies, and business analytics & industry trends. It is a 3-day conference comprised of guest speakers, general sessions, break-out trainings, best practice sharing and networking amongst franchisees and the brand. 2022 was the first year this event had been hosted in person, in San Antonio, TX, post pandemic – making this year a flagship moment to gather everyone under one roof again. The conference theme was reflective of our brands new True North: Recipe for Joy which articulates IHOPs company's mission to deliver more moments of joy every day, in every community. The event theme, logo, signage, collateral, communications, experiential installations, and videos were designed by OLIVER agency to create a unique experience with IHOPs new True North in mind. This was the first time all franchisees were able to fully hear the vision of the iconic, 65-year-old brand, and the conference visuals and experience supported the strategic storytelling of IHOP in a way that had never be done before.
