A Design Story | Sugar Glass

Beautifully shot in a glass-blowing studio, this video follows a design, called Sugar Glass, from inspiration and ideation, through development and to creation. A small crew was utilized in order to be as minimally involved in the process as possible. Sugar Glass is an innovative way for interior designers and architects to bring a material with a balance of transparency and opacity and into residential and commercial spaces.
Formica Corporation releases new patterns yearly. Sugar Glass was launched in the January 2022 product launch. The final video is translated for use across North America and is used on the Formica website, in campaigns, social media, and in sales presentations to tell the story of the Sugar Glass design to customers.
