The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Office of Resolution Management, Diversity & Inclusion (ORMDI) advances an inclusive environment that values and supports the diverse communities VA serves—employees, Veterans, their families, caregivers, and survivors—and cultivates equitable access to care, benefits, and services for all. To demonstrate commitment to inclusion, diversity, equity, and access and weave these principles into the very fabric of the Department, VA launched an enterprise-wide initiative: I*DEA.

In the first phase of I*DEA, VA is focusing on internal communications with the goal of building awareness while sparking employee engagement, collaboration, and support across the enterprise. The I*DEA Quarterly—or I*Q—is an important part of this multi-channel effort.

Titan Alpha collaborated with VA to develop I*Q as an engaging, 508-compliant digital digest packaging key I*DEA updates and hot topics including insights from leaders, initiative progress and successes, employee and Veteran stories, artistic contributions, tips, current and upcoming events, and links to resources. Harnessing the strong visual impact of the I*DEA brand, I*Q uses bright graphics and images to capture interest, increase awareness, and build brand recognition.

To maximize readership and efficacy as an information delivery and engagement tool, I*Q is formatted as a single page of bite-sized sections allowing VA employees to quickly scan and identify content that is personally useful, interesting, or resonant. This approach makes it easy for readers to engage with I*DEA content on a quarterly basis, driving employees to the robust I*DEA intranet site where they can explore a wealth of information and resources.

By prioritizing the user experience—packaging a wealth of information into visually inspiring and easily consumable content—I*Q stands apart from more traditional digital newsletters and plays an important role in educating, inspiring, and empowering VA employees who play a critical role in making I*DEA a reality at VA.

Titan Alpha is a verified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) joint venture of PFS and Atlas Research, an affiliate of CVP Group, LLC.
