The Government of Nunavut is committed to promoting the safe and responsible use of firearms in the Nunavummiut region. Hunting and firearms are a central part of the cultural heritage of Nunavut, but the increasing incidents of gun violence have become a concern for the community. To address this issue, Argyle helped launch the Government of Nunavut Gun Violence and Firearm Safety Initiative. The primary objectives of this project was to increase safe storage of firearms, increase participation in gun safety education, and eliminate the use of alcohol when using guns or planning to use guns in the region.

The project logo played a key role in bringing awareness to this campaign, serving as a visual representation of the initiative's goals and values. It was designed to reflect the connection between guns and the culture of Nunavut. The logo was used on several communications materials, including digital advertisements, posters, and merchandise to raise awareness about the initiative and encourage community members to take part in the project.

The design of the logo was inspired by the strong connection between firearms and the culture of Nunavut. Hunting is an integral part of life in the territory, and the logo reflects this through its depiction of the Nunavut landscape, including the sun, mountain, and water. These elements represent the various places where hunting is carried out and emphasizes the deep connection people of Nunavut have to the land.

The logo incorporates an icon in the shape of a gun scope, surrounded by crosshairs for a sense of focus and direction. The crosshairs are surrounded by a compass, emphasizing the need to keep firearms pointed in safe directions and to always be aware of their surroundings. The playful language in the logo also serves to reinforce this message, reminding people to always point their guns safely.

The Government of Nunavut Gun Violence and Firearm Safety Initiative logo was a critical component of this project, serving as a visual representation of the initiative's goals, values and communicating the importance of firearm safety.
