"Spring Couplets" are decorations commonly seen in Asian regions during the New Year period, which are posted on doors and walls. They usually feature auspicious phrases or represent the zodiac animal of the year. Posting Spring Couplets is believed to bring peace and good luck to the household throughout the year.

In 2023, it will be the Year of the Rabbit in the lunar calendar. The Chinese word for "rabbit" sounds similar to the English word "to." Taking advantage of this linguistic coincidence, we creatively combined the homophonic nature of Chinese with the auspicious phrases in English to create a set of Spring Couplets that blend Eastern and Western concepts in a humorous way.

To enhance the aesthetic appeal, we employed the traditional technique of letterpress printing, giving the Spring Couplets vibrant colors and a captivating tactile sensation reminiscent of letterpress craftsmanship.
