From delicate, cultured elegance to sassy and flashy dramatic flair, or from retro cool to modern abstract invention, Nineteen Forty Eight exists for the non-conformist looking to make their mark and be seen for the inspired individual they are. Much more than just the custom, collaborative creation of new jewelry, however, the studio also offers new, inventive ways to repurpose and restyle existing, inherited, or vintage estate pieces as re-found works of art.
As both a place and a time, Nineteen Forty Eight is defined by bold acts of self-exploration and freedom of form and technique. In the art world, 1948 was the year of the abstract expressionist. It was also the inaugural year of Roland’s Jewelry, which would grow to become a well-respected name in quality accessories built with care and attention.
