When the under-30 crowd hears “Dairy Queen,” they tend to think of ice-cream products only; especially the iconic Blizzard® treat. Because DQ® treats pair so perfectly with spicy food, the introduction of new Spicy Chicken Strips was the perfect opportunity to re-introduce the brand to our younger Texas audience.
We produced a share-worthy, “Sweet & Spicy” themed PR box and sent it to approximately 50 social influencers across the state. The campaign earned unpaid, quality brand and product mentions from 50% of our distribution list, with upwards of 3MM follower reach. Influencer content surrounding the merch and Spicy Chicken Strips earned hundreds of positive comments expressing surprise and delight over the initiative and big love for the DQ brand.
