Global maritime trade is a vast and complex constellation of ports and ships subject to forces that can realign day-to-day, minute-to-minute. Developed in partnership with the University of Oxford, PortWatch untangles the web of global trade as it happens by harnessing real-time UNGP satellite data from 1,666 ports and 24 geographic chokepoints in a single platform. With cutting-edge analytical tools, users can also evaluate the economic impact of real or simulated trade disruptions to better respond to present challenges and prepare for the ones just over the horizon.
