MEET Taiwan, Taiwan's premier MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) program, sought a distinctive presence amidst high-tech exhibitors at the Taiwan Japan Expo to showcase Taiwan as a top MICE destination, and demonstrate its warmth and hospitality.
To achieve this, Purple Media leveraged MEET Taiwan's "Taiwan Open Arms" campaign and their PaQ mascot to design an engaging exhibition booth and immersive experiences that exuded Taiwanese friendliness.
At the booth's center stood a striking 6-meter Super Reality VR dome featuring PaQ's cheerful face and outstretched arms that doubled as benches, providing a popular resting spot for attendees. Inside the dome, visitors were treated to an astonishing 360-degree Virtual Reality (VR) video tour of Taiwan's most captivating attractions. This bespoke video, produced by Purple Media, included a 3D animated PaQ exploring the sights and sounds of Taiwan, while a central table made use of projection mapping technology to enhance the content on the walls.
Adding another layer of interactivity, Purple Media also produced a custom Augmented Reality (AR) experience. Visitors used their smartphones to unlock AR animations, showcasing Taiwan's premier exhibition halls ideal for MICE events.
Guests also enjoyed freshly made "Wheel Pies," a beloved Taiwanese dessert snack, while PaQ, in person, gave out hugs. Each hug was tracked by a ticker on his arm, tallying the total number of hugs throughout the show.
Around the booth, various Taiwanese vendors took B2B meetings from visiting Japanese companies at dedicated tables, and also presented their companies within the dome with daily presentations.
This project not only effectively promoted Taiwan's MICE opportunities but also highlighted Purple Media's prowess in creating memorable, sustainable marketing solutions. The booth's furniture, crafted from recycled cardboard, underscored the commitment of Purple Media and MEET Taiwan to sustainable events. Together, both organizations reinforced Taiwan's status as a top business and events destination, leaving a lasting impression on all who visited.
