Beginning with extensive qualitative interview discovery with a wide array of fans, editors, and working cartoonists, By Hart spent half a year researching and developing an all-new brand identity for the cartoon haven that is Comics Kingdom (digital home of legendary comic strip publisher King Features).

The result is a brand identity that serves as the connective tissue and spark between a collective of diverse creators and the fans that fuel them to keep the comics coming. The Comics Kingdom brand reflects the treasured history of this nostalgic art form as well as the next generation of curators and creators committed to keeping the medium alive.

At the heart of the new Comics Kingdom brand is its power to forge deep and personal connections between artist and reader—and uphold that unique bond for generations.

At the end of our brand revolution, By Hart’s creative collective came together—lending our own voices as well as recruiting friends and family to join our chorus—to craft an anthem spot reintroducing the original short storytellers to the world.

Fueled by love of this all too rare craft and featuring our own hopefully endearing pro bono voiceover work, this one was personal (down to a special guest appearance by our founder’s very own kitty).

While we are more grateful than we could ever fully express for the opportunity to help this mission-driven community keep the comics coming, we decided to give it our best shot anyway. We hope you, too, get drawn in.
