Sell on TikTok (SoTT) serves as the "Seller Growth Guidance" system, designed to incubate new sellers and support the growth of existing ones on the platform. This system provides actionable suggestions tailored to sellers at various stages, helping them increase sales and Gross Merchandise Value (GMV).
I led the design of the entire workflow for the new version of Sell on TikTok, including the key features of the Growth Center. The project involved extensive user research and competitive analysis. By comparing the limitations of the existing online version, we identified several critical areas for improvement:
Unified Interface: Designed a cohesive interface that allows all sellers to use the same system, regardless of their experience level.
Growth Pathway Visualization: Implemented a clear, interactive seller growth pathway, providing sellers with precise action guidance. This design was based on user research and forward-thinking strategies.
As a result of these enhancements, the Daily Active Users (DAU) and GMV saw a significant increase of 13% compared to the previous version. The user base for this service is in the tens of millions.
Project Overview:
I designed two interconnected back-end systems for this project:
Internal Tools for Operations Team: This internal system, accessible only within the company network, is used by the operations team to manage sellers. The UI features a management dashboard with search and filtering capabilities. The sidebar is categorized by regions to reflect the diverse locations and categories of sellers managed by the team. This system functions as a CRM for the operations team to oversee sellers across different regions.
TikTok Seller Center: The TikTok Seller Center is the front-facing platform for sellers. Everything displayed in the Seller Center is configured through the internal tools used by the operations team.
