The Black Chamber of Memphis marked its 50th anniversary with a complete rebrand that honored its rich history while embracing modern design trends. Our team led the effort to refresh the Chamber's iconic "B" logo, which is deeply connected to the Hernando DeSoto Bridge—an essential symbol of Memphis’ community and commerce. The new logo maintained its original integrity but was elevated with a contemporary, clean, and forward-thinking aesthetic that reflects the Chamber’s pivotal role in economic growth and development for Black businesses.
In addition to the logo redesign, our team created a suite of visual assets that spanned across print and digital media. We delivered updated marketing materials, event branding, and a website overhaul highlighting the Chamber’s initiatives and services, all designed to connect more meaningfully with its audiences—Chamber members and the larger Memphis community. Our design approach not only aligned with the Chamber’s mission, but was specifically tailored to inspire, empower, and engage local Black entrepreneurs and business leaders. Social media analytics and engagement suggest that the use of bold colors, sharp typography, and modern layouts resonated with the target audience. The anniversary celebration announcement, showcasing the new brand, achieved over 111,000 impressions, 303 clicks, 21 reposts, and 25 comments on LinkedIn.
The new brand identity reinvigorated the Chamber’s presence in Memphis, positioning it as a trusted leader in business advocacy and development while honoring its legacy.
