The Workday Forever Forward Tour is designed to celebrate and help Workday customers drive their business forward, wherever they are. An extension of Workday’s award-winning Rock Stars of Business advertising campaign, the Tour, which has completed 20 stops to date, is built around two underlying ideas:

1. Meaningfully bring B2C best practices to the enterprise B2B space
2. Create a uniquely Workday experience that celebrates customers while driving business forward

The whole notion of a mobile tour that meets customers wherever they are is a tried-and-true B2C idea, but it hasn’t really been explored in the enterprise B2B space. In fact, we have yet to visit a customer who has seen anything like it, adding a level of surprise and delight and mapping to one of Workday’s core values: fun.

Creating a uniquely Workday experience started with leveraging its popular, Ogilvy-created, Rock Stars of Business campaign – a natural fit for the Tour bus, which includes not only branding from the ads, but also an exterior wrap and interior welcome and farewell videos of Billy Idol. In addition, the bus proudly promotes each of Workday’s core values on custom album covers. But it’s not just look and feel, the whole notion of the tour, which brings its employees and innovation closer to its customers in a fun way that drives business (and profitability) forward, is nothing but Workday through and through.

Like the advertising campaign it derived from, the Tour is equal parts fun and business, celebrating Workday’s Rock Star customers, while also personalizing the company and its solutions. Most of the Tour stops are at Workday’s customers’ headquarters, enabling full teams to congregate, celebrate, and meet with Workday account teams and subject matter experts, while also getting up-close-and-personal views of Workday solutions. From podcasts and meetings with C-level executives to hands-on demos with HR, Finance and IT teams, the Tour serves as a swiss army knife, with something for everyone. The podcast studio in particular is a game changer, helping capture customer stories and marketing content in fresh and unexpected ways.
