It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and holiday 2024 was no exception for ZEBRA PEN’s signature, high visibility promotional event, now in its 8th year, Zen's 25 Days of Giving. Designed to build brand awareness and expand consumers’ understanding of the breadth of ZEBRA PEN’s product lines and how they fit into the creativity needs and wants of writers, doodlers and artists, the event scored big in driving engagement.
Built around the holiday season, this experiential, digitally driven program called on consumers to interact with the brand on a daily basis from December 1st thru 25th using the brand’s virtual Holiday Calendar for a chance to win unique prizes. For a special twist, the brand partnered with a host of like brands including Wilson Sporting Goods, Workman Publishing, Better Day Books, Pipsticks, Bloom Daily Planners, Koh-I-Noor, Maruman USA, Somerset Patriots, Ripken Baseball, UNC Tar Heels Basketball, Seton Hall University Basketball, Callie Danielle, and ArtBin, resulting in more added value prizes for contest winners.
Throughout this tentpole promotion, consumers were served daily reminders of the promotion via digital SMS, targeted emails and social media advertising – working to drive engagement and call-to-action, while the brand’s DTC website, reflecting the event thematic, captured consumers on their holiday shopping journey, encouraging them to enter in on the fun. Paid influencer content, replete with unboxings, added yet an additional layer of excitement.
Together, these efforts broke records on click-thru rates, email open rates and impressions - all significantly surpassing established industry benchmark levels.
