The "Taste Walk: A 24-Hands Gala Dinner" is a groundbreaking culinary gala event hosted by Miramar Group’s Mira Dining in partnership with Tatler Hong Kong. This exclusive two-night gala took place at The Mira Hong Kong, a five-star hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui, showcasing twelve renowned chefs from Miramar Group's acclaimed restaurants and highlighting the evolution of Hong Kong's culinary scene.
Impressive Starry Setup
In keeping with the theme "Taste Walk" though now and then, the ballroom was transformed into a starry night scene, with twinkling stars illuminating the dark space on the 18th floor of The Mira Hong Kong. The foyer resembled a time tunnel, transporting guests from modern-day Hong Kong to its historical past, mirroring the culinary journey prepared by Mira Dining.
Culinary Excellence
The Gala featured an exceptional team of chefs from the Group’s distinguished restaurants, including the refined Chinese restaurants Cuisine Cuisine, Chinesology, and Tsui Hang Village, as well as the modern European WHISK, the innovative vegetarian JAJA, the creative Thai-Chinese Mue Mue, and The Mira Hong Kong itself. Each restaurant brought its unique character to the dining scene, inviting guests on a culinary journey through time.
The meticulously crafted ten-course menu highlighted iconic signature dishes, showcasing the chefs’ artistry in both traditional and contemporary Chinese cuisine. Guests enjoyed dishes like Shunde Fish Head Soup, Sautéed Crystal King Prawn with Edible Gold Leaf, and Flaming Dongpo Tower, reflecting Hong Kong’s rich dining culture.
A Starry Night with Celebrities
Designed to celebrate the remarkable journey of the Miramar Group, this two-night Gala also featured a star-studded atmosphere. On the evening of 25 September, notable celebrities were invited, including Janet Ma Sze-wai, Amanda Strang, Samantha Ko Hoi Ling, Mat Yeung, Lisa Ch'ng, Nicola Cheung, and singer Archie Sin Ching Fung, who performed as a special guest. They gathered to experience an exclusive ten-course feast, showcasing the culinary talents of the chefs from the Group alongside a guest chef, all interpreting the essence of Mira Dining.
