Starmus VII Opening Concert (J.M.Jarre) 2024 SK

Starmus is a global festival of science, music and art. It was a great honour for us to participate in the "Bridge from the Future" at the Starmus VII opening concert. It was a spectacular fusion of music, technology, and visual art, captivating the audience and creating an unforgettable experience. Several global production companies participated in this event.

The whole concert included several components of a spectacular show: a light show, laser beam show, drone show, fireworks, laser mapping of the building, and laser projection on the building. Our company, a major global supplier of laser technology and show production services, became interested in the event and was also approached for a certain form of cooperation.

Our task at this very complex show focused on every detail was to implement laser mapping on 2 sides of the building and laser projection of video content and graphics also on 2 sides of the building. We achieved the laser projection of graphics by exclusively using lasers to project the client's content.

The city of Bratislava, a bridge with a UFO on top, an ancient castle in the background, an open-air stage with a dancefloor and a high building - the entire concept show was composed by Jarre. We dealt with his requests directly - through him personally and at the same time with his production agency. During a visit in Bratislava, Jarre once had the idea to do a show right here, when he saw a unique panorama of the city.

The main goal was for the concert and show to be seen by as many people as possible. The initial plan was to have the stage directly on the bridge. However, due to security concerns and based on the authorities' decision, it was ultimately placed in a large exhibition area.

We are grateful to J.M. Jarre for the opportunity to work with him and his production team. We lit the ESET Aupark Tower with 36 laser units for mapping and projection for this show.
