Since 2019, the Southern Branch of the National Palace Museum had been hosting its Summer Family Art Month, blending historical artifacts with engaging activities to promote the spirit of learning through play. In 2024, marking its sixth year—and coinciding with the National Palace Museum’s centennial celebration, its 60 years of development in Taiwan, and the Southern Branch's 10th anniversary—the curatorial team arranged a spectacular water dance show during the summer break. Titled "Water Music Night" and inspired by the concept of "Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains," the show extended for 120 meters, making it the longest water dance performance in Taiwan. The event opened with a majestic mountain-shaped, floating laser water curtain accompanied by the Tendrum Art Percussion Group, featuring the renowned piece "The Door of Memories," and concluded with "Taiwan Music Collection Symphony Poem" performed by the OneSong Orchestra led by traditional arts musical icon Li Zhe-yi, creating an atmosphere of grand splendor.
In addition, the lake featured installations such as "Qinghua Pattern Zun” and three playful paper boats that carried the National Palace Museum's historical memories. The boats, adorned with enlarged reproductions of old newspapers, documented significant milestones in the museum's journey in Taiwan, symbolizing its commitment to cultural heritage and extending blessings to the audience.
