Keepr is a modern breathalyzer company seeking to expand the market to include young, wellness-focused social drinkers who grew up with tracking apps and want to be more aware of their alcohol intake. Our mission was to take the breathalyzer from a place of stigma and turn it into an essential drinking accessory. We needed a new, customer-centric approach to breathalyzers set out to create a brand that customers could identify with.
It started with a new logo. The mark we developed was inspired by the asterisk, the symbol that indicates there’s more context to the story, to allude to how the product helps drinkers make informed decisions. Composed of paths that never interesect, the mark illustrates the power to help drinkers avoid harmful consequences.
Our packaging took cues from high-end consumer electronics to highlight the product’s simplicity, leveraging a logo pattern and a palette of sophisticated blues and neutrals for a modern feel. Inside, we included a quick-start guide illustrated with friendly instructions. We produced 3D renderings of this packaging and the product from CAD files and color chips, then captured everything in virtual photoshoots to populate our digital experience.
With direct-to-consumer as our primary retail channel, our brand could only be as successful as our online experience. So we built a Shopify-based ecommerce hub with a modular design, allowing each section to be customized for our varied audience of legal professionals, wellness trackers, and the sober curious.
