Halloween is the ultimate season for bold, creative makeup looks, making it the perfect opportunity for NYX Professional Makeup to engage its audience. The 2024 NYX Halloween Party transformed this season into an immersive, gamified brand experience, seamlessly blending makeup artistry with interactive storytelling.
Set in the Orangerie Charlottenburg in Berlin, the event invited 100 unpaid influencers to embrace their dark side through a unique villain-inspired adventure. The evening was built around the “Who Stole Halloween?” campaign, featuring six iconic Warner Bros. villains. Instead of traditional branding, the focus was on emotional engagement and stunning content opportunities for maximum social media impact.
A custom-designed newspaper invitation set a mysterious tone and generated pre-event buzz. Upon arrival, a ‘Get Ready with Me’ session with professional makeup artists showcased transformations on social media. Opening the event, a mysterious Voice of God introduced the guests, started the storyline and led the evening. During a Mystery Dinner, the storyline progressed with each course, revealing hints about the crime suspects.
The adventure unfolded across six villain-themed rooms, each meticulously designed to reflect the character’s world. These temporary cinematic sets were integrated into the venue’s long corridor, enhanced with rented movie props for authenticity. In six teams, influencers faced specially designed riddles, challenges, and interactive minigames, creating shareable moments that engaged their online communities. A community quiz extended the interactivity to social media, allowing followers to participate in the gaming.
Influencer engagement was highly organic, their Halloween looks were perfectly staged for social media by our event. The six villain rooms were high impact content spots, encouraging participation and engagement, leaving fun expressions for social media. The bold, villainous aesthetic dominated the social feeds.
By merging immersive storytelling, gamification, and visually striking design, the NYX Halloween Party 2024 rethought influencer events as interactive content frameworks for guests’ styles – a villainous experience that was not only unforgettable for guests but also highly impactful on social media.
