"Citadel and Citadel Securities, in partnership with Mofilm, created two Extraordinary Colleagues films in 2024. These stories combine in-depth sit down interviews with visually stunning B-roll of the subjects in both professional and personal settings. The home cities of the subjects also played a role in each film, so we made sure to partner with locally based filmmakers across the globe to ensure each film was captured through a local lens.

This series serves to inspire the audience to achieve greatness by exploring the stories of people who have thrived at Citadel/Citadel Securities. These films highlight a particular subject’s passion, showcasing how the nurturing, innovative work environment allows them to be their very best selves. Every film is told from the employee’s unique perspective, sharing how they used their passion to find success within the business.

These recruitment films were created with the same cinematic lens and strong narrative approach that you would find on a feature film. They were purposefully crafted to entice the most innovative, creative thought leaders to join the firm.

Citadel and MoFilm used candidate research (both qualitative and quantitative) to identify resonant themes before starting the series to ensure the campaign would be resonant and persuasive. In telling Francesco’s story, as with all profiles, the firm, and highlight attributes of the firm that we’ve learned improve perception to persuade candidates that Citadel is an employer of choice.The “Passions Applied” series debuted on Citadel and Citadel Securities’ LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube Channels in April of 2022. The series has garnered millions of views and become the most internally beloved and externally successful campaign in the firms’ history.
