Delta Air Lines reaches an incredible milestone in 2025—100 years of innovation, leadership, and service. As a VP at Delta said, “You only turn 100 once,” so they turned to BI WORLDWIDE to create a bold, unforgettable LEAD Conference. Hosted at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium in January, this event brought 6,000 leaders together to align on strategy and kick off Delta’s year-long Centennial celebration.
A Picture-Perfect Birthday: Sustainable, Striking, and Smart
A forward-thinking scenic design brought Delta’s vision to life, blending sustainability with innovation. Crafted for long-term use, the breathtaking stage featured a 12-foot-high ‘treetop’ platform above the endzone, placing CEO Ed Bastian and other leaders in close proximity to their audience. This immersive design created a compelling focal point, reinforcing the theme while ensuring all eyes were on the future. With easy-access portals built into the stage, interaction between speakers and attendees was effortless and engaging.
Attendees enjoyed a truly engaging stadium experience stadium with camera filter fun, t-shirts launched into the crowd, stadium screens fully utilized, and movement throughout the concourse, field, clubs, and much more.
To minimize waste and maximize efficiency, Delta and BIW integrated advanced technology throughout the event experience. Attendees engaged before and after the event via the BIW app, navigated the venue with digital wayfinding monitors, and accessed the reception effortlessly using digital IDs—all reinforcing a forward-thinking commitment to sustainability without compromising convenience.

The energy didn’t stop after a thrilling day with Delta’s leaders—the evening reception was an immersive journey through time. Decade-inspired triads highlighted Delta’s “firsts” and fun visuals throughout the decades, while an AI Photo Wall let guests time-travel in style, posing with classic aircraft from past eras. The Social Wall turned dreams into action, challenging attendees to envision the next century of Delta’s success.

As Winter LEAD 2025 ended, attendees carried with them pride in Delta’s past, clarity on the present, and bold enthusiasm for the future—making it the ultimate launchpad for the Centennial year!
