This visual identity system for LCX Design, inspired by the “Light Cone” concept and the gyroscope, establishes a highly recognizable brand image imbued with profound philosophical significance, embodying the brand’s core philosophy of “Design as the Bridge” and its commitment to bridging cultural barriers between East and West.
The gyroscope, well-known for its physical property of maintaining stability even during high-speed spins or under environmental disturbances, is taken as the key visual element to symbolize LCX Design’s powerful inner steadiness—the ability to uphold its design ethos and professionalism amid the surging tide of globalization, undeterred by cultural interference. The system also introduces the light cone—a spacetime model in physics—which represents the ultimate boundaries for the propagation of events, suggesting the boundless possibilities of design innovation and the exploration of cross-disciplinary design. In terms of derivatives, motion-blur and mirror techniques result in a seamless interplay between reality and illusion, triggering viewers’ reflections on how design transforms fantasy into tangible form; the visual narrative of a gyroscope remaining vertical on uneven ground highlights “Gravity of Design”—the brand’s adherence to its design ethos and professionalism—within the volatile international landscape. Moreover, the poster series of Exploring the Frontiers of Design, by virtue of the gyroscope’s linear trajectories, 2D-3D combination, and contrasting colors, balances stability with dynamism to give a strong visual impact, expressing the idea of “bridging the real and the imagined.”
The system mainly employs the brand’s signature colors—black (logical thinking), white (pure design), and red (passion and energy)—leading to a minimalist yet visually striking style that perfectly blends rationality and emotion.
