Many Latin foods host heated rivalries over which culture makes them best. For tamales, Colombia, or México? Northern Mexico's Barbacoa tacos, or Mexico City's al Pastor? Others simply have rivalries over what they call their favorite foods. The same dish that Venezuelans call Pabellón Criollo is called Ropa Vieja by Cubans. The truth is, no matter where the dishes are from or what they call them, they’re all great. But that’s not what we told listeners.
Pepsi added fuel to the fiery debate with geo-targeted audio ads, customizing culinary creative for regional pockets of culture to ask “who makes it better?” or "what's it really called?" and spark maximum (and highly personal) engagement.
The one thing that everyone agrees on at the end of each ad is that your favorite food merece Pepsi.
