Electronic Development Labs, Inc. needed to redesign their website to highlight their product lines that serve two different industries. One product line focusing on industrial temperature calibration devices and the other focusing on chiropractic diagnostic tools. Two distinct industries served with one website.
Unfortunately, the prior EDL, Inc. website had multiple issues that need to be addressed to be a fully operational platform that meets the needs of their customers. Having a functional website that serves the needs of your customers is the cornerstone of any business. To that end J Drake Web Design decided that a completely new site design was required. The newly designed site is built on WordPress and primarily serves B2B customers while also providing doctor and student specific registration portals.
The website design is divided into two distinct sides, to reflect both sides of their business. If in the future the company separates these divisions into new entities, they each have a distinct brand look and feel that has been established. The Industrial side of the business has a look that reflects the extreme nature of the environments in which the temperature sensors are used. While the Chiropractic side of the business has a more sterile and cleaner look, to reflect the doctors’ offices where these products are used.
The website is built with a robust ecommerce store which has 10,000+ variations of their product lines. Each product has accompanying Detailed Information, Specifications and Supporting Documents as well as resources including downloadable PDFs and Power Point presentations where available. This along with translator features allows Electronic Development Labs, Inc. to sell both lines of their products around the globe.
Aside from the functional aspect of the site the visuals are dynamic and engaging. Copy has been rewritten to reflect the brand voice. Three dimensional models and interactive video clips add a dynamic visual look to the site. But they do not detract from the primary goal of providing information about products and giving users the ability to make quick and easy purchases.
