More than just a newsletter, Intersections is a weekly catalyst for ideas, action, and connections across the public and private sectors. Developed and produced by Arch Street Communications, this digital publication illuminates how strategic communications and public engagement drive progress in transportation, infrastructure, energy, climate, housing, workforce development, and economic development. Through timely, relevant, and carefully curated articles, thought leadership, and commentary, Intersections engages more than 1,250 subscribers every week with curated media, commentary, and content that advances ASC’s mission to deliver communications at the intersection of people and policy.
Launched in 2020 to bridge the gap created by the pandemic’s forced separation, Intersections is now a trusted voice, transforming complex public-sector policy into accessible and compelling content. Each issue blends original insight from ASC’s leadership and project teams with carefully selected industry articles from diverse media sources organized into recurring sections—Nora’s Note, Transportation, Climate, Economic Development, and Digital.
The engagement speaks for itself: with an average open rate of 29.0% and click-through rate (CTR) of 30.0%, Intersections far surpasses industry benchmarks of 21.0% and 2.9% respectively. September 2025 exemplifies its reach and impact—the September 5 issue spotlighted ASC’s work on the New York State Draft Energy Plan Public Hearings, achieving 31.8% opens and a 35.5% CTR; the September 12 edition introduced an intern-led podcast with 27.8% opens and 35.1% CTR; and the September 19 feature on a public meeting for the Rockland Riverway Trail reached 28.6% opens and 55.8% CTR.
Each edition is amplified by a coordinated cross-platform strategy, pairing every weekly release with branded social media posts on LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and X to showcase featured stories and drive readership. The ASC website hosts a full archive of past editions, extending accessibility and sustaining engagement over time. Intersections continues to stand out as a dynamic, results-driven publication, connecting audiences, sparking dialogue, and shaping the narrative where people and policy meet.
