The Challenge:
I-PRIMO, a premier Japanese bridal jewelry brand, faced a common dilemma: how to help customers navigate dozens of ring designs without overwhelming them. Traditional categorization by cut or material lacked emotional resonance with younger audiences (25-35) who seek personalized, meaningful purchases.
The Solution:
We created ZODIAQUE.an immersive website that transforms ring shopping into a celestial journey. Using the 12 zodiac signs organized by four elements (Water, Earth, Fire, Air), we built an intuitive navigation system where users discover rings aligned with their astrological personality.
Why Digital Paper Art?
Paper sculpture was chosen for its symbolic and aesthetic power: layered structures metaphorically represent love's depth; delicate yet strong materials mirror marriage's nature; and Eastern craft traditions echo I-PRIMO's Japanese heritage.
However, we deliberately chose AI-generated digital paper art over physical sculpture for strategic reasons:
Physical Limitations: Creating four high-quality paper sculptures requires months, with inevitable inconsistencies in lighting, angles, and quality across pieces. Once photographed, they become static images that cannot adapt to different devices.
Digital Advantages: AI enables us to create "idealized" paper art.flawlessly cut layers, perfectly controlled lighting, and absolute consistency across all four quadrants. Most critically, digital assets integrate seamlessly with product photography in a unified lighting system, creating the magical effect of "rings floating in starlight."
The Creative Process:
Our human-led art direction defined each quadrant's visual language and symbolic elements. Through precise AI prompt engineering, we generated multi-layered paper sculptures, then refined every detail in post-production—adjusting shadows, textures, and depth to achieve both handcraft warmth and digital sophistication.
The Impact:
ZODIAQUE successfully rejuvenated I-PRIMO's brand image, connecting with younger audiences through astrology's cultural language. The website transformed from a product catalog into an experiential platform, reducing purchase anxiety by offering personality-driven navigation. This project demonstrates that AI isn't replacing human creativity—it's enabling new forms of digital craft impossible in physical space.
