In this film, Salesforce set out to celebrate the people driving Formula 1’s success: its fans. To bring this story to life, we paired one of the sport’s most iconic voices - F1 legend David “Crofty” Croft - with two real superfans whose passion represents the global racing community. The result is an emotionally charged, celebrity-meets-fan narrative that showcases Salesforce as the platform powering deeper, more meaningful fan connection.
Our creative approach blended authenticity, nostalgia, and modern innovation. We explored the history of fandom by weaving together carefully curated archive footage - this historical lens grounded the story in the evolution of fan culture and set the stage for Salesforce’s role in shaping its future.
Crofty served as both narrator and guide, bridging eras of fandom while amplifying the energy of the fans featured on screen. His distinctive voice brought credibility and emotional resonance, helping viewers feel the heartbeat of the sport.
To enhance texture and visual storytelling, we incorporated real 16mm film cameras to capture b-roll sequences. These analogue elements introduced warmth, imperfection, and humanity - mirroring the raw, unfiltered spirit of fandom itself. The film-reel footage contrasted with the clean, data-driven world of Salesforce, highlighting how technology and passion intersect to elevate the fan experience.
The TVC ultimately positions Salesforce as Formula 1’s Fan Integration Platform: the tool that transforms millions of individual interactions into personalised experiences, richer engagement, and a stronger global community. By celebrating real fans rather than actors, and pairing them with an iconic F1 figure, we ensured the campaign felt grounded, inclusive, and genuinely connected to the sport.
The final film is a tribute to the people who make Formula 1 what it is. Through a blend of celebrity presence, authentic fan stories, historical context, and crafted filmmaking, Salesforce demonstrates that when data meets devotion, fandom reaches a whole new gear.
