A legislation, also known as the Good Sam Law, protects individuals who are experiencing a drug or alcohol related emergency or who are assisting with the emergency ( i.e. a good Samaritan) MSAA invests time into researching planning how to reach the citizens of our state who may not know about the law or are simply afraid to help. Messaging for this topic relates specifically to younger demographics, especially those under age ( 13-17) who may be experiencing this type of emergency for the first time. “ Don’t run, call 911” is imperative to stopping someone in their tracks and urging them to do the right thing without fear of consequences.
Together with the Maryland Department of Health, MSAA designed and created an advertising campaign that aired throughout the state on platforms including broadcast TV, cable TV, public TV, OTT, audio streaming, broadcast radio, digital, print and geo-targeted mobile media throughout Maryland.
