About The Entry
The National Palace Museum’s AI Gallery, themed "Co-creating a Better Future with Technology," utilizes Generative AI and 8K ultra-realistic displays to transform Taiwan’s urban landscapes into an immersive narrative. Through a five-channel panoramic display, visitors embark on a journey across five themes: Sky, Earth, People, Culture, and Technology. This experience seamlessly integrates classic masterpieces—ranging from Fu Chuan-fu’s rhythmic ink washes to Lin Chih-hsin’s vibrant woodblock prints—into a dynamic digital format. By layering AI-driven animation onto historical art, the exhibition vividly depicts the evolution of the island’s modernization and cultural identity.
A central highlight of the gallery is the use of Generative AI to foster a dialogue between disparate eras of art. This is best exemplified by the reinterpretation of Li Shih-chiao’s Market Entrance, where AI replaces a common cabbage with the museum’s famous Jadeite Cabbage. This metaphorical transformation supports the "Museum Without Walls" initiative, symbolizing a future where elite imperial treasures become as accessible to the public as everyday goods. Ultimately, the exhibition demonstrates how technology can reinterpret the past to empower a collective vision of an inclusive, tech-driven future.
