For our diabetes awareness campaign with Nahdi Medical Company, we were tasked with creating a video that would resonate deeply with the Saudi community, raising awareness about diabetes as a growing health concern in the Kingdom. The objective was not only to inform but to touch people emotionally, showing the reality of how individuals and families experience a life-changing diagnosis.
Our process began with research and discovery, which revealed that receiving news of a chronic condition often leaves people feeling shocked as if the world around them has stopped. We aimed to visually convey this emotional experience in our video, translating the moment of fear and confusion into a cinematic storytelling language.
The video also demonstrates that with the right diet and lifestyle, family support, and medical guidance, individuals can regain control and live a fulfilling life. Every detail of the production was meticulously planned to reflect authentic human interaction, from casting and actor performances to the design of real-life consultations with doctors. It was a team effort, spanning creative development, full production, and post-production, and stands as one of our proudest projects at Ethos Production.
We leveraged visual effects (VFX) and cinematography to symbolize the “world stopping” or"freeze" moment, gradually bringing life back to the frame to represent hope, support, and progress. The combination of music, acting, and thoughtful editing reinforced the emotional journey, making the message accessible and memorable for families across Saudi Arabia.
This project was a national awareness initiative, and our scope covered conceptualization, scripting, production design, on-set execution, and post-production. From start to finish, the campaign was designed to educate, inspire, and motivate the community to take diabetes seriously, check their health, and adopt healthier diet and lifestyle habits. The final video was well-received and touched many families, successfully achieving its objective of raising awareness while delivering an emotionally compelling narrative.
