ITRI partnered with SEMI to host the Semicon Network Summit in September 2025, creating a high-level platform for global dialogue on building a resilient and trusted semiconductor ecosystem. The event attracted over 650 participants from 28 countries, highlighting the urgency for global cooperation. To maximize campaign impact, ITRI utilized the following strategies:
1. Co-Branding to Amplify Visibility
Held during the 30th anniversary SEMICON Taiwan, the summit leveraged the world’s flagship semiconductor event to expand visibility and attendance. The co-branding strategy attracted over 100 C-suite executives and senior government officials from Taiwan, the U.S., Japan, and Europe. Key figures included Taiwan President Lai Ching-te, Czech Republic Minister for Science, Research and Innovation Marek Ženíšek, and British Office Taipei Representative Ruth Bradley-Jones.
2. Expert Thought Leadership Driving Media Coverage
The program featured four panel discussions addressing supply chain resilience, regional complementarity, AI chip co-innovation, and talent development. Distinguished speakers from AMD, Applied Materials, ASE, Purdue University, ITRI, and SEMI delivered forward-looking insights that captured strong media interest.
-Nearly 60 media outlets attended, with over 10 broadcasting live on-site.
-Almost 1,700 domestic news reports and 1,341 international coverage across 10 countries.
-Front-page coverage by Liberty Times, a major Taiwan daily
-287,028 social media reach
3. Cultural Experience to Deepen Engagement
To elevate the guest experience, ITRI infused the summit with Taiwanese cultural elements, including a street-food-inspired luncheon and a custom Formosan black bear gift set. These creative touches humanized the technical agenda, strengthened branding, and left a lasting impression on international attendees.
The summit received strong international acclaim. Marek Ženíšek, Czech Minister for Science and Research, lauded Taiwan as the "undisputed leader" in the semiconductor industry. Mark Lundstrom, Chief Semiconductor Officer at Purdue University, praised the event as "truly grand and impressive," while Gen Kawai, Deputy Representative of Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association, acknowledged Taiwan has world-leading semiconductor technologies and a comprehensive innovation ecosystem.
By combining co-branding, thought leadership, and cultural elements, the Semicon Network Summit transformed a half-day event into a powerful global communications platform. The campaign delivered exceptional visibility, extensive global reach, and high-level engagement, exemplifying excellence in conference experience.
