Wendy’s and Bravo teamed up for the second year running, to deliver a deliciously unexpected piece of branded entertainment with Bestie Bootcamp: Adventures with Lisa Barlow—a reality style comedy series that reimagined how fast food could live inside fandom driven storytelling. Set in a surreal version of the Utah wilderness and produced entirely on a virtual XR stage, the series stars Real Housewives of Salt Lake City icon Lisa Barlow as she hosts fellow Bravolebs in trust building “bootcamp” challenges—powered by Wendy’s menu items.
Equal parts comedic, emotional, and self aware, Bestie Bootcamp turns food into the ultimate motivator, helping repair friendships, spark drama, and reward emotional breakthroughs. Rolled out in quarterly installments, the series featured unexpected Bravo pairings: Summer House’s West Wilson and Jesse Solomon testing their bond in the woods; Next Gen NYC’s Brooks Marks and Gia Giudice navigating survival without their phones; and Real Housewives of Miami stars Marysol Patton and Alexia Nepola facing off against each other—and a pesky squirrel. Each installment ignited social conversation and proved that when you mix fast food, friendship, and Bravo’s signature tone, branded content becomes binge worthy entertainment. At its core, Bestie Bootcamp is a love letter to friendship, fandom, and fast food. The creative leaned fully into the absurdity of placing glamorous reality stars in a rugged “bootcamp” scenario—complete with exaggerated challenges, tongue in cheek dialogue, and Timmy, an animatronic squirrel who emerged as a recurring scene stealer and fan favorite. By making Wendy’s a storytelling catalyst rather than a sponsor, the campaign elevated branded content into something audiences actively chose to watch, share, and talk about—proving that brand building can be just as entertaining as the Bravo shows fans love.
