About The Entry

Nagytarcsa is a rapidly growing suburban community in the Budapest metropolitan area, facing the challenge of maintaining its unique identity while integrating new residents. The goal was to develop a comprehensive Brand Identity System that honors its 2500-year-old ancient roots while embracing its role as a modern, dynamic gateway to the capital.
The "Heritage" concept transforms a Scythian shaman’s rattle—an archaeological treasure discovered in local soil 70 years ago—into a versatile brand architecture. Following the footsteps of iconic urban brands like Amsterdam or Madrid, the logo uses lowercase typography to signal a friendly, accessible, and service-oriented municipal spirit.
The design features a unique typographic fusion where the central bull motif is seamlessly integrated into the name, creating a visual bridge between the Iron Age and the digital era. The slogan, "Örökségből jövő," uses a linguistic double meaning in Hungarian, signifying both "Coming from Heritage" and "Heritage for the Future." This holistic system includes a secondary "nt" monogram—leveraging the town's traditional local shorthand—and a modular graphic language applied across all administrative and community platforms, ensuring a consistent visual DNA for the community's future.
