The inspiration for "Where Light Enters, Dusk Begins" is extracted from a fleeting moment of light and shadow on a returning train. That golden-pink dusk serves as the visual foundation for the entire spatial narrative. Within the forest setting, we use sheer fabric as a medium to reconstruct the gradient of twilight. The colors transition from orange-red to purple-yellow from bottom to top, creating a dynamic flow of light and shadow through the natural wind. This non-static visual presentation breaks the conventional static feel of outdoor setups, transforming the space itself into an installation art piece that evolves with time.
In terms of design logic, each layer of fabric retains its independent texture and color tone, metaphorically representing the individual past trajectories of the couple. When they overlap and permeate within the space, individual experiences converge into a shared sunset. This approach is not only a tangible expression of "fusion" but also implies a respect for differences—we do not attempt to erase their distinct paths, but rather let them resonate within the same space.
Structurally, the arrangement of the fabric is not arbitrary; it is the result of precise mechanical calculations and visual testing. The angle of each drape and the proportion of negative space serve the overall rhythm of light and shadow. We integrate hidden LED strips into the gaps, allowing the dusk to continue after sunset.
